A Prayerful Response to Luke 10:21 O God, You grant special favor to the infants of this world— special favor we once had. But oh, we do not remember those days. Upon entering the world of words and facts, we forgot the wisdom we once held. Now we cling to what we think of as knowledge and believe the fiction of our self-sufficiency. O God, help us recover the wisdom of an infant, who takes in the world through wide-open eyes and rests in the presence of love. Help us revive this newborn intuition, so we may seek and and once again find your hidden wonders in this world. In the name of the Christ child, we pray. Amen.
Let us listen to your voice within us O God, help us hear your call, and Value the wisdom in that still small voice, which Expresses your desire for us Let us respond to your prompting guidance Only saying yes in response to your call to Value others as we value ourselves— Expressing your love through it all Let us rejoice in the work of your Spirit Offering praise to you, O God, and Voicing our sincerest expressions of thanks Every day and always. Amen.
God of Wisdom, Guiding Presence, you work within large crowds but also quiet places. Guide us so that we may find you in the place of spiritual abundance—whether that be in the midst of a great crowd, or in solitude protected by a natural refuge. We pray this in the name of the one, who ministered to large crowds, but who also slipped away—in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
