Most Gracious God, O hear our prayer. Reveal your Spirit among us. When struggle lingers and we despair, Let hope take hold inside us. We see a world of pain, where wounds obscure your goodness. You see your unfolding reign of healing, grace, and justice. Most Gracious God, O hear our prayer Reveal your Spirit among us When struggle lingers and we despair Teach us to see as you see. We see a world of pain, where wounds obscure your goodness. You see your unfolding reign of healing, grace, and justice. This prayer can be sung to the tune of GREENSLEEVES.

This meditation can be sung to the tune of Let All Mortal Flesh (PICARDY) Let all weary souls find a pathway To a place where hope endures Not a path toward fleeting wishes But toward a persisting lure Drawn to goodness dancing in the dark and dim Hope and Guiding Light shine again. Let all humankind find compassion— Healing hate’s deep festering wounds, Walking in the paths of nonviolence, Standing for what’s sacred and good. Hear our prayer, O Lord, revive us for the task To live out your peace in this world. Let all God’s creation together Join in a most joyous refrain Singing of the goodness that’s rising Singing amidst hardship and pain Good and gracious God, supply us with the tone. Let us make your Spirit known. Let us all find loving kindness And pursue compassionate ways Giv’n to us by our Holy Maker Born in us again and again. God’s enduring love for us will never fade God with us forever, always.

Three Prayerful Pauses Upon Waking God, sometimes I struggle to sleep in the morning. Sometimes I jump right out of bed. Sometimes I sleep peacefully, relishing in a time of rest. And other times, I awake with a headache, feeling groggy, and unready to meet the day. Today, I awake and pause, regardless of how I have arrived at this point. I pause, breathe in and say thanks for another day and this gift of life. Midday God, as I go about my day, may I grow ever more aware Of your Spirit of Goodness weaving its way through My life and the world beyond it. Before Sleeping As I prepare to go to sleep, O God, I give thanks for the special moments of the day. May they be for me a bedtime blessing to hold throughout the night; And may they motivate me in the morning, To give thanks and to seek again.
This prayer can be sung to the tune of O Come, O Come Emmanuel (VENI EMMANUEL) O Source of Hope, supply us with the grace To see the places where your love resides. And when we see, O God, help us know That you are moving in our broken lives. With us, through us, your loving presence grows And gives us hope in what the future holds.
