Two Questions
There are two questions in this narrative,
Which happens on the Sabbath, day of rest,
A sick man lies with nothing more to give
Then Jesus comes and sees this man distressed.
So Jesus asks, “Do you want to get well?”
A self-reflective question of intent
For what he wants, he may not know or tell,
Or think it is a possible event.
His healing sparks a second question too,
“Who is the man who said take it and walk?
A question of his sources and of whom
(Those who don’t see do question all this talk).
I ask myself these questions in this way:
What do I seek and who do I obey?
