This is a prayer to say while walking (either a leisurely one or one with an intended destination and time lapse). As you inhale, call to mind something for which you are grateful. Maybe you see something that inspires gratitude, or maybe you recall a relationship or earlier experience that inspires thankfulness and praise. Try to stay present and mindful of your feelings. Resist lifting up a praise for which you are not noticeably grateful at the time.

After naming your source of inspiration as you inhale, pray, “O God, I’m thankful” as you gently exhale.

My prayers today: For refreshing air, O God, I’m thankful….For times spent with friends, O God, I’m thankful…For time to study, O God, I’m thankful…For moments of prayer, O God, I’m thankful.
