Packaged in mindfulness, adorned with gratitude
God gifts the weary souls—
Burdened, bountiful, or both
Giving thanks for the moments
That rid me of the blinders
I enter the world more aware
Oh the warm setting sun
Shedding light after snow showers
Peace beyond knowing!
The words or caring embrace
From the “neighbors” I meet
Indeed, the grace of God, I greet!
I see my life in God’s care
As I go through the day
And, so this I pray
God, may I be here—
So near to Your gifts—
And aware,
Oh so graciously aware!
